Pricing

How much does a new website cost?

Websites start at just $99 per month. For some great additional features and services, we offer a Pro plan at $199 per month.

How does the payment process work?

You’ll receive an invoice from us via email. Click the “Pay this invoice” button and you’ll be able to securely pay the invoice using a credit/debit card, bank account, or Apple Pay. Once you’ve fulfilled the invoice, we can start working on your website right away.

Are there any additional fees?

Nope! Just the monthly cost.

What does the monthly cost cover?

Our simple pricing covers pretty much everything: Hosting and domain name fees (if applicable), security patching, site backups, content updates, future redesigns, speed improvements, site maintenance, search engine optimization, analytics reporting and monitoring, and any other changes you may need.

Can I pay one-time instead of monthly?

Generally, no, although we can make exceptions depending on what you need. A fixed monthly price allows us to develop strong relationships with our clients, and it also guarantees continuous and ongoing maintenance and support, along with all the other services mentioned in the previous question, “What does the monthly cost cover?”.

Can I upgrade my plan?

Yes, you can upgrade you from Starter to Professional anytime.

Can I downgrade my plan?

Yes, after the first 12 months, you can downgrade from Professional to Starter.

Can I cancel my plan?

Yes, after the first 12 months, you can cancel any plan you have. We can either transfer the website management to you, or simply provide you with a folder of the website’s code. Alternatively, if you want to cancel and take down the website entirely (for example, if your business closed down), we can take care of that for you.

Can I pay several months at one time?

We don’t have this option at the moment. Let us know if you would like us to add it!

Do I need to get a quote?

You don’t need a quote unless you need a website that requires advanced features beyond those that we typically offer. For example, adding a user login or ecommerce to your website.

 

Design

I have a website, do I need a new website?

If you aren’t happy with the look of your current website, you probably need a new website. But it’s more than just looks. Is your website fast? Is it secure? Does it help your customers/audience find the information they came there for?

This nifty tool will grade your website and let you know if there are any technical issues with it. Just put in your website, it’ll ask for your email too, but you don’t have to put that in to get your grade.

The higher score you get, the better your website is (from a technical perspective, as it can’t really grade the look and feel of your website).

How long does it take to create the website?

We work quick! The initial design will be completed within approximately 2 weeks, usually less. Be sure to check your email often during those 2 weeks in case we have additional questions or updates to share.

Can you help get photos for my website?

Yep, we can make your website look great with professional stock photography and images.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?

Yes, we start with a mobile-first design and work our way up to desktop. We use a method called responsive design (also sometimes called fluid design), where the website scales automatically to fit the device. This means that the layout and content will fit perfectly and look great on small phones, large phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and everything in between.

What will the website look like?

That depends a lot on your business and what you want it to look like. All of our websites are custom designed, so there’s no set way that any of them will look (except awesome). Before we start working on your website, you should send a few links of websites that you really like.

How do I share my content with you?

If you have pictures, logos, text, or other content that you want on your website, the best way to get those to us is by emailing it to hello@pikespeakwebdesign.com. Make sure to send the images in the highest quality that you can.

Do you write content for the website?

We can help with writing content (copywriting) for your website. You tell us about your business and what you do in as much detail as possible, and we’ll craft it into

Can I update my website myself?

Absolutely! Whether you’re a Pro or Starter customer, we can provide you with a login to edit most of the basic content of the website, such as text and images. No need to get into the code or some complicated dashboard. You can edit it all just as easy as typing an email. We can also provide up to 2 of your employees/team members with a login to edit the website.

Can you update my website for me?

That’s what we’re here for. Email or text us anytime (yep weekends, and even holidays if it’s really important) and we can update your website within 12 hours if you have the Professional plan, or within 48 hours if you have the Starter plan.

 

Marketing

Can you run my social media?

We don’t offer social media management services at this time, but we can help setup your various social media accounts. If you are a Professional plan customer, we can create and setup accounts for you on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Do I need social media accounts?

It depends on what sort of business you run and who your target customers are. We can help you decide what social networks are right for you.

Can you write social media posts for me?

We can give you some ideas for the first couple posts. After that, it’s all you!

 

Who we work with

Do I have to be local to work with you?

We design websites for businesses and organizations in Colorado, primarily Denver, Colorado Springs, Monument, Boulder, Parker, Cañon City, and other nearby areas.

What sort of businesses do you make websites for?

If you own a restaurant, coffee shop, bookstore, barbershop, realty group, architecture firm, bike shop, arcade, or any other kind of small to medium sized business, we can make a website for you! We also specialize in designing websites for small startups, non-profit organizations and charities.

Technical stuff

How many people can visit my website?

We develop the website to be able to handle a lot of visitors! If you’re expecting your website to consistently get more than 1 million people visiting every day, let us know.

How do you track statistics for my website?

We use Google Analytics to keep track of a number of metrics about your website. For example, how many views your website is getting, where the views are coming from, what day of the week most people visit your site, and a bunch of other stats. If you are a Pro plan customer, we can send you a simple monthly or weekly report with graphs and charts showing you exactly how your website is doing.

How do you keep my website secure?

We use end-to-end SSL (“secure socket layer”) security to establish an encrypted link between the web server and your website. This ensures that any information passed between the browser and the server is completely private.

How do I transfer my current website?

If you already have a website up, just make sure to send us any username/passwords for your administration accounts for that website, such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. That includes hosting and domain registrar accounts, such as from GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Bluehost.
